CHUCKWAGON ETIQUETTE:  Many cowboy tales center on the camp cooks, the "interesting" fodder they dish out to hungry crews and the trials & tribulations that come with breaking any unwritten rule of the cowcamp.  This is one such tale.

GREAT AMERICAN CATTLE DRIVE:  In 1995, some 300 Longhorn cattle were drovered over the historic cattle trails from Ft. Worth, TX to Miles City, MT.  It was my privilege to ride with the outfit for a time.

THE STRANGER:  Though every cowboy generation likes to consider itself as The 'last of a dyin' breed', the Cowboy Way is as timeless as the West itself.

THE MODERN RANCHER:  This little rhyme grew out of an article I found concerning high-tech cattle raising methods in, of all places, Japan.

BURY ME IN WYOMING:  We all have a special stretch of range that our dreams forever call Home.  For me, Wyoming has always been that place.

CHARLIE & THE CALUMET CAN:  Honest folks, this really is a true story, related to me by my friend and cowboy music hero, R.W. Hampton.

THE DROVER'S SONG:  The great cattle drive era saw kids & men dream of "goin' up the trail", including my Great Grandpa Nichols, who never forgot the ride.

LOVIN' FROM AFAR:  Though some won't admit it, most cowmen inwardly yearn to take their dallies on a good woman and settle down.  This is for them.

WINDY BILL:  I consider this classic cowboy tune from the 1890's to be a near-perfect representation of authentic period cowboy music.  And it sure is fun to sing!

THE TRAIL HOME:  Westerners aren't known for being overly vocal about their faith, but it's there for many of us just the same.  This selection is a personal reminder to me about my own faith, and about why I'm here.  I hope it blesses your heart.
